Reduce Saturated Fat Intake
- Excessive intakes of Saturated Fat are the principal cause of elevated LDL levels in western diets.1 In sharp contrast, unsaturated fat consumption reduces risk of CVD. Replacing 5% of energy from saturated fats with unsaturated fats reduces CAD risk by about 10-15%.2
